When Zachariah was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease 3 years ago he weighed just 52kg. Today this determined 19yr old weighs 83kg and has a global ranking in powerlifting with several national records, a 2nd in the 2022 powerlifting champs, and is in the top 10 in the world (U18). This Grant will help Zachariah to the World Jnr Powerlifting Champs in Romania. While Zachariah has big personal dreams, just as important is supporting others which he does as NZ’s youngest referee.
