At 17, Lena Norton has been selected into the NZ U21 Women’s Canoe Polo team travelling to Germany for the World Champs. She won the national Women’s A grade with her Christchurch club Nemesis in 2025 and was selected for the NZ U18 Women’s Canoe Sprint team for the Asia Pacific Champs. Head student of her high school, she achieved NCEA Levels 1 and 2 with Excellence endorsement. This Grant supports her travel to the Canoe Polo World Champs. Lena hopes to compete for the senior Paddle Ferns in the future.
