Now 22, Ciaran Wright is a percussionist who graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2024 with a Bachelor of Music in performance, receiving the Michael Toovey Memorial Prize. He earned distinction on his ATCL diploma in 2021, joined the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra casual players list, and in 2025 won his audition for the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne, where he now studies. This Grant supports the purchase of percussion mallets for his study and auditions. His goal is a full-time orchestral position.
