Kyla Lynch-Brown, 22, is a fourth-year Bachelor of Social Work with Honours student at the University of Canterbury who represents Canterbury in rugby, league and touch. In 2025 she captained the U21 Touch Canterbury Mixed team to gold at the Touch NZ national competition, and she has played for the Ahi Kā NZ rugby league team and the Canterbury Farah Palmer team. This Grant supports her Touch Blacks campaign. Kyla aims to secure an NRLW contract and to represent NZ at the 2028 Touch World Cup while pursuing a career in social work.
