18-year-old Will is a talented jazz vocalist and musician who has performed with the Christchurch Youth Jazz Orchestra and the All-Star Big Band. He has won regional jazz awards, received a 2024 scholarship and acceptance to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and performed solo at Auckland's Christmas in the Park in December 2024, one of New Zealand’s largest outdoor concerts. Will was also the recipient of both the Peter Rowe Cup for Overall Best Musician at Burnside High School and the Cup for Contemporary and Commercial Music. This Grant will support Will’s studies at Berklee, helping him to pursue his passion for music and inspire young Kiwi musicians to follow their dreams.
