Seventeen-year-old Will Leech is the 2025 29er NZ Youth and National Champion and recently placed 2nd at Kiel Woche in Germany, the largest annual regatta in the world. Will has four national titles, two youth championship wins, and a history of international top 10 finishes. A member of the Yachting New Zealand Youth Team, he is preparing for the Youth World Championships in Portugal. This Grant supports his travel and training costs. Will’s goal is to reach the Open World podium and progress toward professional sailing through SailGP or the America’s Cup.
