Growing up on a Mid-Canterbury farm, Will has skied for as long as he can remember and began competing aged 9. Despite a rough start, Will persevered to rapidly improve his rankings to win the U16 NZ Jnr Freeride Tour series in 2021 and U18 this year. Having podiumed in South Island events, 17 year old Will pushes himself to be the best with a heavy gym and running schedule to keep in top condition. This Grant will help Will compete at the Freeride Jnr World Champs in Austria in 2023 and also seek out a coach to take him to the next level internationally and ultimately compete on the world circuit with his skiing and snowboarding heroes.
