Sam and Patrick love all sport, and first tried waterpolo when they were 10. They’ve excelled in winning teams since primary school with multiple Canterbury, South Island and NZ wins as well as many MVPs. Passionate about supporting others, they also coach and referee. Aged 20, they’re currently in the national Australian league, and will be part of the NZ team in the American University tour prior to the World Games in Berlin. This Grant will help Sam and Patrick compete internationally as they look for European opportunities towards the next step to compete at the LA 2028 Olympics.
