At 22, Ruby has held many leadership and coaching roles and competed at a high level in sports. However, she was inspired by science to complete a science degree at Massey University with a double major in Zoology and Ecology. Now pursuing a Masters, Ruby is working with scientists and beekeepers with a research project to help add significant financial income to the beekeeping industry and promote New Zealand to a global market. This Grant will help Ruby purchase equipment for her research. Her ultimate aim is to complete a PhD in Conservation Biology and be a leader for the next generation.
