Kody’s passion and respect for martial arts saw him achieve his black belt at 16 and then to a senior black belt as a second dan. A NZ judoka, he has represented NZ and won Silver in the over 100kg category at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. This followed years of success in national, Oceanic and international events. He’s fully committed to his sport and the people who have supported him to follow his dreams. At 22, Kody is passionate about continuing to represent NZ in many international competitions in coming months and years. This Grant will support his travel costs to keep building his skills towards the Olympics and a return to the Commonwealth Games.
