The combination of speed, endurance and rapid map reading of Orienteering hooked Felix at primary school and since 2019 he’s achieved many 1st placings Nationally and in Australia. Inspiring school-mates to also give-it-a-go saw his team win a National School Champs. Felix has now qualified for the U21 NZ mixed team, and at 16 is the youngest member. This Grant will help him compete in the Jnr World Orienteering Champs in Portugal. While growing his international success, Felix remains equally passionate about growing the sport in NZ, particularly through schools.
