At just 13 Amelia qualified for the NZ women’s open and in 2016 was the youngest girl (after Lydia Ko) to win a professional tournament. She has since represented Canterbury and NZ at senior level, and in 2017 was the only NZ amateur to make the cut in the NZ 2017 women’s open. At an academic level to also achieve a golf scholarship at the University of Southern California (1 of the top 5 golf programmes in the US), Amelia is well on her way to her goal to turn professional and play on the LPGA tour.
