Abigail, 21, has been dedicated to Irish dance since the age of six, inspired by performers in her local Christmas parade. With 11 National Champs appearances, she has placed in the top 10 each time, with five podium finishes and two national titles. Abigail has also competed at the Australian International Oireachtas, placing 12th twice. As a qualified personal trainer, Abigail uses her expertise to support younger dancers in their physical and mental preparation for competition. This Grant will enable her to represent NZ at the 2025 World Irish Dance Championships in Dublin, where she aims to achieve a recall and claim her third national title. Long-term, Abigail hopes to expand her role in the Swarbrick Irish Dance School and establish a business supporting high-performance athletes and dancers.
