Charlie Prince, 18, has risen rapidly through the junior squash ranks, winning the Canterbury Junior Squash Champion title in 2024 and placing 7th in the Australian Junior Squash Open. With a recent selection for the NZ Jnr team for trans-Tasman events and the World Jnr Squash Champs, Charlie is on his way to achieving international acclaim. The grant supports his travel and accommodation for the World Squash Champs, enabling him to represent NZ. In the next year, Charlie plans to train rigorously and compete, with the ultimate goal of representing NZ at the 2028 Olympics.
