Carmen is an extraordinary 16 year old with a passion for St John where she has been a cadet since she was just 5. Competing successfully since she was 6 in first aid, healthcare, drill, teamwork and communication, Carmen has also participated extensively in community events and leadership. She is currently training to be a Cadet Leader while teaching 8-15 year olds at her local St Johns. This Grant will help Carmen join the NZ team at the St John International Cadet Competitions in South Africa in January 2020. As well as a goal to complete health studies, Carmen wants to keep building youth and leadership roles in St John as part of giving back to the organisation she loves.
